Photography has been a passion of mine since I was a teenager - during my teenage years, the simple point and click camera brought me so much joy as I captured high school memories with my friends and enjoyed creating scrapbooks out of these memories. Fast forward to college years, I invested in a better camera and kicked off my side hobby job learning from other photographers and having sessions with family and friends to help me grow. As time went by, I had "hung up" the photography life for a while as I entered the chapter of growing in my professional career, marriage, and growing my family. After the birth of my second child, I realized how much I missed my camera and reminded myself of "my why" which is to provide myself and others with cherished memories through photographing our chapters in life.
Pearl Rooster Photography came to life in 2017 as I invested in new camera equipment as well as courses that helped propel my photography skills to another level. "Pearl Rooster" is in honor of my late Grandma who was incredibly supportive of all I embarked in life - she inspired and was loved by so many and I can only hope to be able to touch as many lives as she throughout my life.
My husband and two daughters live a very active lifestyle through travel adventures, sports, careers, and many hobbies - which includes photography as this is my creative therapy that allows me to continue to meet so many incredible people as well as provide some extra income to support our family adventures.
